OOTN: Sunflowers and Pastels

So, yesterday me and my friends went out into town for some yummy cocktails and a catch up, and this is what I decided to wear. The skirt is from Urban Outfitters and has been sitting in my cupboard for the majority of summer, so now it's (sadly) coming into autumn I decided to wear it with black tights and black boots from Primark. My cropped pastel jumper from Topshop is one of my wardrobe go to's and I decided to put it with this skirt to break up the black. The necklace I wore was actually a bit of a bargain, £6 from Sainsburys! I was a bit more adventurous with this outfit as I rarely wear bold prints, but I'm glad I went a bit out of my comfort zone with this outfit.
Let me know in the comments if you would dare to go for a bold print and how you would style it!

June favourites...

So to start off my June favourites, I recently unearthed a Christmas present hat I had yet to use, it was the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush body wash. This is my new favourite, as my skin can be quite temperamental, and I gave it a go to see what would happen.
It turned out I was pleasantly surprised! No dryness, no flaking as my skin can do with other soaps, this could be due to the absence of Sodium Laureth Sulfate - a nasty chemical often found in body wash and shampoos, which just ruins my skin.

The fragrance smells like a sweet shop, in particular jelly worms, which is pleasant, however the downside is the scent can get a tad sickly after a while.
Also I picked up with my Boots points, this Barry M Gelly nail varnish in the colour Dragon Fruit. This is my new favourite, as with all the gelly nail varnishes it goes on even, dries quick and lasts a relatively long time, but the thing I love most is the yummy colour, its like a berry/ candyfloss colour, very cute.

So after having a less than satisfying experience with Fashion Union (late delivery, bad quality product etc), I was hesitant about ordering from, mainly because my thinking was that it may be similar to Fashion Union. However I needed to new heels for an upcoming event, and just for general life, because who doesn't need new heels?

I fell slightly in love with a pair on their website so I gave it ago. I am definitely impressed, the service was efficient, the heels are great value for money and most of all the shoes are lush. They're such good quality and they look a whole lot more expensive than they actually were! And, I can actually walk in them, groundbreaking right?

I also picked up my third pair of Joni jeans from Topshop (but who's counting right). I like the ripped detail on the knees and the colour as I'd been looking for a pair of jeans in this colour for a while, they also go well with my jelly shoes!

The last in my favourites is neither beauty nor fashion but TV. After watching the dramatic season 2 finale of Nashville, I can safely say its one of my favourite TV series out there, and my not so secret guilty pleasure. Its actually one of the only series I've bothered keeping up with because the story lines are so compelling and the acting and singing is on point. It's basically about a group of country music stars and aspiring singers, it may not sound like your cup of tea at first, but trust me, once you start watching you won't stop. I even got the boyfriend into watching it!  Definitely recommend.

July Lust List

I've recently become a little obsessed with a couple of pieces I've seen whilst trawling through fashion blogs and Instagram posts. I feel it's really quite important that I have these items in my life, unfortunately my bank balance does not agree. So the hopeless lusting shall continue for now...

I'm back! OOTD Holiday Post:

Helloo! I've finally returned from my blogging break, which was beginning to run well into 7 months. Oh well, the main thing is I've started again (yay!)

This is one of my favourite outfits I wore when I was in Greece for a week with my boyfriend and his family. We went to Crete and it was so warm, I got a lil bit of a tan and it was a really fun holiday. We ate lots of saganaki (fried cheese, so bad yet so so good) and sea food, and I had an unfortunate encounter with a plate of fried fish, that still had heads and tails attached, meaning I had to dissect my dinner. I've made it a strict rule I no longer eat fish when the eyes are staring at me, ew ew ew.

I was given this Miss Guided dress as a present for my birthday (although I picked it out - but shh).
I love the way its so versatile and can be styled in so many ways, whether you want an evening or a daytime look. I also like the way it suits any season, you can wear it in summer and in winter (just with tights so you don't get chilly legs, yikes).

I paired it with my tan Topshop sandals, and my Lulu Guinness bag, which has been sitting neglected in my wardrobe since I bought it at London Fashion Weekend a bazillion years ago, until I decided to bring it along on holiday.

So yep that's my first post after a very long while, there will be more regular posts in the future :)
